There is a great statement used by NLP Practitioners, “The Map is not the Territory”. It’s meaning is very simple: the way You view life, is NOT the same as the way everyone else views it. For example, if you have your opinion on any subject although it may be the same view as others, there will always be something about a subject that you see differently and may resort to arguing about. We all see the world we live in from another angle to others, not completely different, but different enough. This may cause conflicts in our personal and working life and is a subject I shall cover at a later date. Many of the conflicts we face in life can stem from our upbringing and how our parents or guardians conditioned us. We are also conditioned to be socially accepted within society, in other words 'how we should behave'. If we had the opportunity to discover this then not only would our personal lives be more balanced, but also how we interact with our work colleagues and family. If you have read this far, then I will assume you are interested in finding out more about yourself and why you are here, or maybe you have had some spiritual experiences and want to know more or why. There is a wealth of books available on 'spiritual paths', 'why we are here', 'what is the meaning of life', and these can be very confusing when you are starting out. If you don’t particularly want your brain phased with too much 'ooky spooky' stuff then one of the best books to read is The Life You Were Born to Live: Finding Your Life Purpose
by Dan Millman. Using numerology and your birth date this book shows you the path you are meant to be on and what you have come here to learn, teach others, and your personality profile. It’s very informative and accurate. I have used this book with several people and each one has come back to me and commented on how great the outcome was and how they can use it to their advantage. Funnily, those who have said, "That's nothing like me", have been quite categorically told it isby friends and family! Until you are ready to accept negative and positive facts about you on a personal basis, then you are not ready for this book.
Once you have gained this information then the next book I would suggest to read is, The Celestine Prophecy: An Adventure
by James Redfield. Although this book is based around a character and a fictional story, the facts behind it are real and there is also a workbook you can purchase too which will guide you through everything you have learned in the book, The Celestine Prophecy: An Experiential Guide
